Government Relations
Greg has earned a strong legal reputation through his diverse experience as a litigator, public administrator, and collaborator within expansive governmental systems. Most recently, Greg enhanced his experience and reputation through his work with the Nigerian government by training on human trafficking prosecution and legal assessment of the constitutional, statutory, and agency efficiency to ensure mission outcome.
Greg was appointed by Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes to serve as Director of the Justice Division from 2014 through 2017. As Director, Greg supervised five section directors, thirty attorneys, and a $3.5 million budget. Greg worked collegially with members of the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial Branch, as well as a diverse professional and community stakeholders, on many legislative, policy, and procedural matters affecting local, county and state entities.
In fulfilling his role as Director, Greg ensured the organizational mission was accomplished in a very demanding legal environment, maintaining high quality legal work of his team of attorneys through a hands-on approach coupled with an engaging and rigorous review of legal decision-making on very sensitive legal matters.

appointed to represent clients accused of federal offenses in the District of Utah’s Federal Court. Greg is also a
member of Utah’s Indigent Inmate Panel where he is appointed to represent clients committing crimes within the
state prison system in Gunnison, Utah.

Victim Advocacy
Greg has spent his legal career protecting the most vulnerable. Starting his career at the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office, he focused in areas of Domestic Violence; and Vulnerable and Elder Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation. He continued a victim-centered focus with the Attorney General’s Office, prosecuting and supervising the prosecution of state and federal cases involving serious felony crime associated with victims and perpetrators within the immigration community, sexual assault; sexual exploitation of children, and human trafficking involving sexual exploitation and labor trafficking.
Greg was Co-Captain of the statewide Human Trafficking Task Force from 2012 through 2017. Greg has been recognized for his victim advocacy as the recipient of the 2014 “Public Policy” Award from the Utah Council on Victims of Crime and the 2010 “Courage Award” from the Salt Lake Area Domestic Violence Coalition.
Greg’s brings his expertise in victim’s rights advocacy to assist victims of crime and their families through what can seem like a lengthy and confusing legal process and ensuring their constitutional rights are protected. Greg’s practice also includes representing Petitioners and Respondents in Protective Order and Stalking cases.
When Greg is not representing victim’s in court, he continues to work with stakeholders in the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches, as well as business and non-profit organizations toward ensuring their mission of service to victims in our community.
